post with multiple pages

How do I resolve permalink problem for posts with multiple pages. Like if I set permalink to https://www.website.com/post.htm then the link for page1 looks like https://www.website.com/post.htm/1

Any ideas how to resolve it. I want it to look like https://www.website.com/post-1.htm.
