    I am working on a business directory for a local business group. URL is here: https://scasbog.raddaddesign.com/. This is currently on a staging server being developed.

    I have created a custom post type called “Small Business” to create the business listings. What is on the website is currently dummy content as a placeholder but an example is here: https://scasbog.raddaddesign.com/small_business/general-contractor/

    I have created a “Business Owner” role for managing their small business profile. Once we start registering local businesses onto the website I want to create a restrict each business owner to only their Small Business page and additionally restrict their access to images in the media library that belong to their profile.

    The User Role Editor recognizes that there are custom Post Types but does not list any capabilities for them so I can’t assign any restrictions. You can see the problem below:

    Hi,

    It depends from how you defined a custom post type. I suppose that it does not use its own user capabilities set but uses the default ‘post’ value. Right?
