Is there a layout that would give me a site like this

  • ive been searching the internet for layouts to download, but it seems that they all have 2 columns. either on the right or left, there is always a column that has things like

    recent posts
    categories
    archives
    links

    and other things

    i dont want those things on my website. im sure i shouldnt be using wordpress if i dont want those things, but wordpress is very user friendly and im not that knowledgeable when it comes to CSS and HTML and stuff like that.

    anyways, i want my site to be like this

    but obviously i want a misscupcake banner and the colours will be different.

    but see how its one big box in the middle of a background of colour?
    is there any place i can download a layout for wordpress that will give me a website like that?

  • Search the WordPress themes directory for one that is similar. That is a pretty simple leyout and therefore you should find one like that.

    1. All those things in the sidebars like “Recent Posts” you can delete, hide, change if you want to. You might need to dig in some code in sidebar.php or you might just need to swap your Widgets around in the WordPress Admin interface, depending on your theme. You can make it look however you want!

    2. The happy site you showed has a sidebar, anyway.
