• Hi,

    I have to websites.
    1) https://www.ecourbanlab.com
    2) https://www.ecourbanlabjobs.com

On top of 2) in the menue at “Magazine” is a link activated to switch to 1)
If somebody clicks on the linked “Magazine” in the menue of 2), Wordfence blocks the access to 1) with the message “Your access to this site has been limited…HTTP response code 503…Manual permanent block by admin”. Check this: https://postimg.org/image/6n2yl7lox/

It only happens with the above mentioned link for every user/PC/IP I have tested. And I did not block anything coming from 2)

But that is not all: The same link in the footer, also “Magazine”, works without blocking the user. Same link from same source to same goal. Footer works, head menue failed.

    Why??
    Please help me.

    Best regards

  • Hi,
I have just clicked on “Magazine” link in the header of the second website and I got redirected successfully to the first website, also the footer link is working fine for me, however, when I tried to visit the first website directly by clicking on the link you included in your original post, I got blocked for the same reason and I can see this only happens with the “www” version of that domain.

Could you please double-check that you don’t have any rules added in (Wordfence > Advanced Blocking) that might cause this issue on the first website?

    Thanks.

    Hi,

Thanks for your reply. There is no advanced blocking rule in my wordfence settings. I changed the backlinks to ecourbanlab.com instead of https://www.ecourbanlab.com and it works fine. But other backlinks in the web do not work anymore. Always blocked. I checked some. I also switched off the firewall for testing but nothing changed.

So, Firewall and Advanced Blocking is not causing the blocking of my website backlinks. What to do now? What might be the reason? It is a horror that wordfence blocks all my backlinks. I have to switch it off immediately.

    Please help me.

    Thanks
    Best regards

You are using Cloudflare on this domain, so could you please make sure you set “How does Wordfence get IPs” option correctly to “CF-Connecting-IP”?

Also, make sure you aren’t blocking any of Cloudflare’s servers in (Wordfence > Blocked IPs).

    Thanks.
