Overloaded elemet of WP_HOOK

    Hi. My backups apparently succeeded but I see this response in the log file about 400+ times:

    0439.683 (1) PHP event: code E_NOTICE: Indirect modification of overloaded element of WP_Hook has no effect (line 664, wp-content/object-cache.php)

    WHat does this mean?

  • Same Issue here in more than 5 sites. I think is a general Problem. Wordfence Security is sending us modification file: Indirect modification of overloaded element of WP_Hook has no effect in object-cache.php on line 664.

    This is coming from WordPress core, and it will be resolved in WP 4.7.1.

    What does it mean though?

    I actually did not tart seeing this UNTIL I updated to 4.7.1 – is there any update as to root cause and possible fix? The logging of this filled my storage, took my prod site down, I unwittingly ordered more storage which then filled and took my site down again
    ??

    I finally figured out I had debug logging turned on in prod, so that’s fixed and site is back, but I cannot help but wonder what else may not be functioning correctly due to this error…
