how to display subcategory PAGES on category page

  • I would like the category pages to display the subcategory pages.

    I do not want the category pages to display the subcategory posts.

    For example. I want the NBA Players category page to display the pages for subcategory LeBron James and Jordan Clarkson.

    Currently, the category pages are displaying the all of the subcategory posts.

    The hierarchy would look like this:

    -Home
    –NBA Players
    —LeBron James
    —Jordan Clarkson
    –NFL Players
    —name of nfl player
    —name of nfl player 2
    etc.

    The URL structure would be similar to this site. So when you click on a person, you see all of the posts related to them.

    How can this be done?
