How to make WordPress not looke like a blog
-
Sorry if this has been covered already, but search keywords such as frontpage misinterpret my intentions.
I understand that WordPress is mostly a blogging platform, but I’d like to use it as a backend for a very simple website where I add some news, some articles and have a few static sections.
The installation was a breeze (exactly why I chose WP), but I don’t know how to disable features such as post comments, blogroll etc
I just want a minimal view, preferably static landing page, few other static ones such as contact etc.
Can this be done via administrative interface, or should I hide elements in CSS perhaps?
Is there a guide for this?
