• Hey there!

I am currently working with an organization and helping them with their website. For some reason, the Instagram feed on one of the websites is not showing. Please help! I tried re-setting the Access Code and User ID as well as combing through the php files, but I can’t seem to change anything.

    Thank you so much.

    Hey caligalml,

It looks like your shortcode has some issues with it. There are some curly quotes added instead of double quotes (they look the same but make a difference). Try this shortcode instead:

    [instagram-feed id=4074396173 num=2]

Let me know if that doesn’t seem to solve the issue. It’s possible there is something else going on as well but this is a good place to start.

Perhaps I’m not changing the html code in the right place?

I am editing the html code on the front page and incorporated the short code, but the feed still does not show and the button links only to instagram.com. Any other suggestions? I do appreciate it!

Here is the code for the “Connect With Us” section.

    [efb_likebox fanpage_url=”DAUGHTERSRISING” fb_appid=”OPTIONAL_SEE_FAQ” box_width=”500 px” box_height=”500 px” responsive=”1″ show_faces=”SHOW_CONNECTIONS(1/0)” show_stream=”SHOW_STREAM_POSTS(1/0)” hide_cover=”HIDE_COVER_PHOTO(1/0)” small_header=”USE_SMALL_HEADER(1/0)” hide_cta=”OPTONAL_HIDE_CUSTOM_CTA_BUTTON(1/0)” locale=”NAME_OF_YOUR_LANGUAGE_LOCAE(default en_US)]
    [instagram-feed id=4074396173 num=2]

    Hey again,

It looks like everything with the shortcode is correct now but there is a javascript error on the page that is preventing the feed from loading (https://snag.gy/MSLijK.jpg) The error is likely coming from another plugin or possibly your theme. You can try disabling other plugins or switching themes for a moment to see if that corrects the issue.

Let me know if you have any more questions about this!

Honestly, that’s a bit beyond my grasp. I tried updating all the plugins in hopes that was the issue, but no luck.

I was under the impression that switching themes would erase all the content, is that not the case?

Again, thanks for all the help!

    Hey caligalml,

Taking another look I am pretty sure the theme is causing the error. Switching themes will not erase any content actually. You would not be able to see any theme specific customizations you made in any of the theme’s files but switching back to the theme will bring any customizations back.

You could try contacting the theme author to see if they are interested in helping you fix the error as another option. Switching themes and testing the page again for a moment will confirm that the theme is the problem. This is fairily simple to do if you go to Appearance->Customize
