Ok, solved it.

Put a fixed height in your css stylesheet.

.ngg-gallery-thumbnail {
float: left;
margin-right: 5px;
height:110px;
}

like this. That fixed it for me.

Thanks for posting this fix – I was having a similar problem with my gallery displaying in IE (but not in FF, natch), but putting in a fixed height in nggallery.css helped solve it.
