• When someone posts a comment it doesn’t show up on my blog page. You have to click on Comments to see it. I just want all the comments to show up on the blog page.

  • Hi @sneed,

Could it be a theme issue? Do you have a link to your site where I could see the issue as it currently stands?

    Thanks.

    Hi sneed,

I don’t think that your site is running WordPress. Is it? Am I missing something?

I’m only using wordpress for the blog page.

    Hi sneed,

Okay, so the blog sits within an iframe on the /blog.php page. With you now.

From what I see, the page that you’re pulling into the iframe is the listing page of the all the blog posts. As such, it’s not likely that the theme will by default show comments on that particular page. I sem that it shows a comment count, but to see the individual comments (and to read any single blog post itself), you’ll need to click on the title of the single blog post.

If you only intend to post a single blog post, then you could pull that specific URL into the iframe on your /blog.php page. That URL is https://winvoices.com/blog/comments/.

I’m also looking for the solution to this – there must be a huge # of sites with ‘Blog’ set to the home page, who would like comments visible, I’m surprised this isn’t available.

I’m going to try digging through the single posts php template next to see how the ‘#comments’ section is generated.

( I see the default WP behavior is to add the ‘Read More’ link to your posts in order to drive readers to the individual page where the comments are visible, but that’s kind of crappy, generating a whole new page load and losing all the ‘first glance’ visitors )
