• Good day,

I’m using the Calendar Widget for my WordPress site and I need some help with customizing it.

My company is migrating it’s Intranet from Joomla to WordPress and I want to make sure, there are no unnecessary changes for our users. Currently, with Joomla, our users can hover over a specific day and see whose birthday it is. With the calendar widget in WordPress I always need to click the specific date.

Is there a snippet for the functions.php, I could just copy and paste or will I need to edit the plugin and hardly set my changes?

If so, what would I need to edit exactly?

    Kind regards
    Malte

    Dear Mzwillus,

Thank you for using our plugin and we hope you like it. We chose to enable the hovering with the click event, because if I recall correctly the hover event misbehaved. Also if it won’t happen with the click event, the tooltip disappears and you can’t click on the name/image to go to User’s profile.

    Kind Regards,
    Yury

    Hello Sudavar,
    thank you for your reply.

We use this plugin to show the birthday of each employee. Those are like 90 people, who don’t have a user profile on our Intranet. We wouldn’t care about this missing feature then.

My intention is, that our users need to hover over the date only and see the name of the person. There is no need to click something in the toolbox.

Do you think there’s a line of code I could edit so my company has a working on mouse over function?

    Thank you in advance
    Malte
