Newb Help:

I’m collaborating with a friend on a WordPress site (which is a polite way of saying he is doing 90% of the work). I’d like to turn this into a pseudo-CMS, but we’re both having trouble making it do this. The blog part is there. I’m not entirely understanding how to make a secondary page for articles that offers the entries by headlines only, and filter the entries. Example filter by catagory, or keyword. Exemption from posting articles and having them wind up in the blog. Etc. Basically layout kind of stuff. Listing/menus, and so on.

If any examples could be give, it would be most helpful.
