You shouldnt be worry about that. When you set “Show AMP for Current Page” to hide it will remove amphtml meta tag and google will not show it.

Thanks for explaining! Unfortunately, this is confusing for clients. The expected behavior would be to have the AMP URL redirect to the normal URL. Is there a function I can reference in order to use your checkbox with the amp_skip_post hook?

I tried setting up my own checkbox with Advanced Custom Fields and was able to use the amp_skip_post hook to disable the AMP URL for specific posts, but it also gets confusing for clients to see 2 “disable AMP” checkbox options.
