Customizer edit icon/shortcut for custom menu in widget does not work

If I use a custom menu in a widget, the edit icon/shortcut for it when in the customizer does not work. When you click it, it just does nothing. The edit icon for the widget itself works, but not the icon for the custom menu within the widget right below that. This is in the default twenty seventeen theme. I have not tested it under other themes.
