problem with number of comments showing

i have a problem. in my wordpress site it shows in posts the total number of all the comments people made, even those has not approved by me. for example, if in one post someone makes a comment, which waiting approval by me, it shows 1. these is problem because if someone goes to see the comment it shows nothing. i want only to showing the comments i aprroved, not those is waiting from me to see. for example if in one post i have 2 comments, 1 approved and 1 not approved, it must show the number 1 to visitors, not 2. at these time it shows 2. how i can change these? i am waiting your thoughts

p.s. theme creator it says that core issue, not theme issue.
