Display follower count?

Hello and thanks for this wonderful plugin. Is it possible to display my follower count next to the follow button? I found what looks to be JavaScript code that should make it possible but I have no idea how to implement it especially in the context of your plugin. If it’s possible to enable follower count natively within your plugin please let me know and thanks again!
