• I’m currently using the native WordPress commenting system with this theme, and simply want to know how to add a “comment pending approval” or some similar message after someone submits a comments. I’ve noticed that this does not automatically show after a visitor submits a comments and as a result it just confuses commenters as to whether their comment went through or not. Is there a solution for this?

  • Hi,

There is no problem with comments.

There is a sentence that says “Your comment is awaiting moderation.” after a comment has been submitted.

    Please see my screen-cast.

If you are still unable to get it to work properly, please check that you are not using a comment plugin. If you are using JetPack Plugin, you can disable jetpack comments module.

    Thank you

    Hello,

Well it’s not working on my site, and I don’t have any third party commenting plugins installed either:

    Hi,

From your website source code, I can see that you are using a cache plugin.
You need to disable caching for functions related to comments. If not, your webpage will be showing cache content until it’s caching date expires. This could be why it’s not showing the sentence “Your comment is awaiting moderation.” after a comment has been submitted.
It’s most probably showing cache content, not dynamic content.

Please ask your cache plugin’s author for help.

I had already shown you that this is not an issue with Hueman Theme.
If you are still having problem, you will have to hire a developer from https://jobs.wordpress.net to login to your website and troubleshoot your issue for you.

    Thank you

You’re right, it was that darn cache plugin:) I will have to contact the developer and see how to configure things for this. Thanks for your help!

    You are welcome.
    Thank you!
