New feature: Added support for referer influenced taxonomy selection for a post’s (any post type) breadcrumb trail.

I created a website where I use several custom post types and custom taxonomies. Most of my posts are registered with multiple terms and sub-terms of the same taxonomy.

When in post single view, the breadcrumb often doesn’t match the actual browsing history. Instead it shows some other associated term trail. In my case this would be very confusing to users.

I tried the new referrer breadcrumb feature, but it did not change the breadcrumb.

Is there any special template code I need to use? How can I possibly get more debug info for you?

Or is this feature for taxonomies only and not their terms?

If so, has anyone any suggestions to achieve the desired behaviour?

This feature is only for selecting a taxonomy when a post is a member of multiple taxonomies. It does not select a particular term within a taxonomy (should the post be a member of multiple terms within the same taxonomy) based off of the referring page. To have the referrer influence the term selection, you will need the Breadcrumb NavXT Paths extension to Breadcrumb NavXT.

It’s been some time, but I finally got around to use your commercial Paths extension. Works like a Charm, thanks a lot!
