It appears that AMP ads will ONLY show if it’s an AdSense unit. Is this true?

I place an AMP ad using AdSense – works fine. When placing an approved AMP advertiser into Quad Ads – no ad code displays – just <div class=”quads-location quads-ad1″ id=”quads-ad1″>
    <amp-ad layout=”responsive” width=”300″ height=”250″ type=”adsense” data-ad-client=”” data-ad-slot=””></amp-ad></div>

The HTML / JS setting seems to strip out the code – is this a known “feature” of the plugin?

    Hello Jim,

Only AdSense Ads are supported on amp pages at the moment. Amp pages require a special html format and there are hundreds of other ads available which can not be catched automatically and converted into this special format automatically.

So, yes all other ad codes are stripped out otherwise your amp pages would be non valid.

    Not entirely true.

Please see this from Google. My partner is on this list

Hi Jim, i close it here. Send you a new beta version with support for other AMP code vendors via mail in a second;)

looks like it’s going to work – for some reason there’s a conflict with Advanced Author Box. I shut Advanced Author Box off for now until I can figure out what’s going on.

For some reason it’s throwing a 520 error when loading an AMP page. But thanks for the quick fix

You can check your server error logs for 502 errors. Please let me know if you find out what’s causing this.
