    Hi,

First a big thank you for everyone working on this plugin.

    I have one question/request.

I’d like to exclude a single category from the sitemap. I have one category specially for showing certain posts in a slider.
So these posts have 2 categories and I don’t think it’s necessary to let Google crawl these posts twice.

Is this possible or can it be added in a next version?

    Best regards,

    Dutch RC

    Hi,

WP Dashboard -> Posts -> Categories -> find category item and click on Edit

Bellow Name, Slug, Description, you should see Yoast SEO metabox, select settings (last of 3 buttons) then select Noindex in “Meta Robots Index”. (Don’t forget to click on Update)

On this way, category/item is noindex and it’s excluded from sitemap. I think that you want this.

    * If you don’t see Yoast Meta box, you need to go SEO -> Titles & Meta -> Taxonomies, find Categories and select Show.

** If you don’t see Titles & Metas, the advanced settings can be enabled by following the steps here.
