    Greetings,

    When I place an order for a gift card to give to someone, I enter their email address, but I only get a receipt for the order, but the recipients of the gift don’t receive the email that they’ve got something.

    I have the email setup in the Shop Name. In fact, I have the BCC setting so the Admin should receive the email. I am Admin and it’s not coming through.

    Having exactly the same problem. I know it’s supposed to send the GC code in the order confirmation (after marking the order as complete) but it’s missing there.

    Exactly, the gift card code is not sent to the customer email address. A gift card is created (can see it in the dashboard), but not sent to the customer.

    I have the same issue…no email delivered to customer after payment and setting order to competed. My website emails go through Sendgrid mail…could this be the issue with your plugin?

    BTW, I’m using standard WordPress mail functions.

    it should work in standard wp mail function …. I dont know why it is not sending the mail to receiver……waiting for authors reply

    Code is not being emailed to the customer after the transaction is marked complete.

    Problem exists with WordPress 4.6 & 4.7 and YITH WooCommerce Gift Cards 1.2.0 & 1.2.1.

    I used Postman SMTP plugin it solved my problem

    dont forget to check plugin version compatibility

    Does the plugin not work with WP 4.7 then? If not, when will it? If it does I will try the installing the Postman SMTP plugin.

    Already had Postman SMTP plugin installed, so that does not seem to solve my problem.

    Hi all,
    the OP request was about how to send the gift card to a recipient other than the buyer and this is not possible at the moment, we’ll add some new features soon.

    For the others replies, gift card code is sent after that the order status is set as completed and is sent to the billing email of the customer, could you confirm it?

    After I set the order as completed, the gift card code is generated in the dashboard, but is NOT emailed to the customer.

    This is exactly my problem too as described above. The code is NOT sent to the customer after the order status has been set to completed. It is created but NOT sent.
