Responsive Theme

First login as admin and click on Customize:

Then click on Home page option, there you find Featured Content now you can put you image with tag.
For example : <img src="https://www.nasa.gov/sites/default/files/styles/image_card_4x3_ratio/public/thumbnails/image/leisa_christmas_false_color.png" />

Is there a way to remove the image all together so I can use the full width for a slider?

Hi,

You can paste your shortcode, video or image source under Theme Options > Home Page > Featured Content. This will replace the image.
