Strong tags being added to source code on pages

  • I noticed a strange issue when I installed this plugin. tags are being added to the source code of some of of the webpages. EG.

    <h3 class="widget-title"><strong>Sign Up To Our Newsletter</strong></h3>

    when I deactivate the plugin it works fine, ie

    <h3 class="widget-title">Sign Up To Our Newsletter</h3>

    Does anyone know what could cause this?

    from a purely technical point of view, there isn’t any logic in AO which can cause this leanneoleary, but maybe somehow the combination of AO + something else is causing this.

    maybe start by disabling AO’s “optimize HTML” option and seeing if that changes anything?

    thanks for such a quick response! That solves the issue. I assume that the optimize HTML option simply minimizes it? Strange that it would add strong tags.

    indeed, this is the first time i’ve seen this happen, hence my assumption this is a combination of AO and something else, somehow. but let’s consider disabling HTML optimization as a simple workaround ??

    just a quick update: tested this on a local testblog with the twenty-twelve theme and was unable to reproduce the problem, so this indeed must be due to more then just AO.
