Access for Contributor in order to edit

I have recently invited someone as a Contributor so she can edit my posts directly online. She is, however, unable to “do” anything with my posts. She can see them, but she can’t edit them for me to see the changes. Are we going about this correctly? Any suggestions? Thank you!
