    Buddypress 2.7.2 WP 4.6.1

I have only one access level and it as follows:

Assigned to Subscriber role, with redirect to a simple manually created custom page, all other setting are default.

    Logic is:
    Posts (all)
    and
    Authors (all)

The fail is somehow my /registration page is being blocked and redirected to the same page configured above for visitor (non logged in users). According to the above logic that page should be open to everyone.

After much testing I have linked this fail specifically to the use of assigning “Authors” to the Subscriber role. When “Authors” is present in the logic my /registration page is blocked, when deactivated my /registration page is accessible.

    Thoughts? Thanks

    Thank you for reporting this.

Can you confirm that you haven’t checked “Negate conditions” and that both Posts and Authors are in the same condition group (AND)?

Hi Joachim – Thank you for your assistance.

Yes not only have I confirmed the settings as stated above but I’ve also removed and readded the settings more than once. Deleted, and readded Posts (all) AND Authors (all). I recreate the issue repeatedly.

I am having to use the following work around:

I added a second access level assigned to “non logged in” with Pages (ALL)

That seems to then allow access to the registration page to non logged in users otherwise it gets blocked when I restrict “Authors”.

It’s good to hear that you found a solution. And thanks for the details, it will make it easier for me when I will try to reproduce the problem.
