Hi, I’ve started using optimizer a couple of days ago and I fell in love with it.

I’m almost finished building my website and I managed to break the customizer tool…

Basically when I try to “edit content” anywhere within the customizer the editor slides in BUT it doesn’t work.

It switches to “text” instead of “visual” and when I try to enter something and save it just breaks down and is unresponsive.

    BUT

If I go into the appearance settings in wordpress (not customizer) I can access the “edit content” button on the widgets page and the editor that pops up there works.

So even if I’m unable to fix the customizer, is there a way to access the other “edit content” buttons like the one for the widgets?

I’ve spend a lot of hours working on this website and now when it’s almost finished I mess up the theme. :/

I apologize, but please help me out here.

I have tried deleting the theme via ftp and then installing it again, that didn’t work.

Here’s and imgur album I made while I was typing this.

Looking forward to hearing from you (more like praying for it).

    Hi,

This usually happens when there is a plugin conflict. Can you please disable all the plugins and see if the issue is still there?

Also, From your WordPress Dashboard Go to Users > Your Profile and make sure the “Disable the visual editor when writing” is unchecked.

    Thanks

Tried disabling all the plugins, it didn’t help.

    That option is unchecked.

This might have happened because I repeatedly went into Dashboard->appearance->editor and repeatedly deleted and re-pasted theme footer (footer.php) ?

Could be, but you said you tried re-installing the theme but it didnt help?

If you are using Chrome, please go to Appearance > Customize and then press ctrl+shift+j and the Console will show up. Take a screenshot and share it here.

    Thanks

Alright I installed the theme on a fresh wordpress (where the edit content worked) then copied it over completely, that didn’t fix the issue.

In the meantime since posting this bug report I’ve started cloning my settings from the broken wordpress to the new one in hopes of quickly rebuilding the site.

While toggling something around the footer options I tried the content button again and suddenly it works. O.o

I guess something must have gotten overwritten somewhere. Weird glitch I suppose.

But basically the issue seems to be fixed. Maybe I just hit the right combination of toggle/save.

In any case thanks for the help and the quick response.

If you’d like, I can take that screenshot for troubleshooting purposes?

But otherwise seems my issue is fixed.

    Okay I figured it out.

The Facebook Feed WD is crashing it…

Seems like the first time I’ve tried disabling the plugin I haven’t quite disabled the plugin.

Gosh I feel stupid for wasting your time now.

Great! Not sure what the issue was. The screenshot would have helped when the editor was not working. So it wont be necessary ??

If you like the theme and the support please rate Optimizer. It would be a great help ??

Of course, the theme is amazing. I’ll definitely purchase it when I start working more websites. Just found it 2 days ago. ??

I am having this issues since I moved my installation from MAMP to my host. Before you suggest it, this has nothing to do with MAMP. I am running the latest version of WordPress (4.6.1).

    NOTES:
    – Not only does it not save anything but the “Visual” and “Text” tabs aren’t available.
    – I have “Disable the visual editor when writing” unchecked
    – Change Memory Limit plugin installed and increased to 256
    – Accessing the widgets from the Appearance > Widgets screen does not help
    – All Optimizer widgets are enabled
    – My Optimizer license is activated
