Special mail tags in footer

Hello
I am using a contact form in a footer via a template function:<?php echo do_shortcode('[contact-form-7 id="72" title="footer-contact"]');?>But the special mail tags are not coming through.
Is there a limitation for using mail tags when the form is in the footer?

Note that the [_post_*] tag has value only when you put the contact form into content of a post or a page.
If the footer is inside the loop, [_post_*] can have values.
