• Hi there – I’m evaluating the Beaver Builder lite plugin before purchasing a full license.

I’m also using the Nested Pages plugin. It’s a great page management plugin, providing a nice UI to much more easily and efficiently manage pages, parent/child nesting, etc.

One of its features is cloning/duplicating existing pages. If I clone a page that I used Beaver Builder to build, the resulting cloned page loses all the BB content I’d added to the original, and additionally throws a PHP error too.

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/username/public_html/wp-content/plugins/beaver-builder-lite-version/classes/class-fl-builder-model.php on line 2972

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/username/public_html/wp-content/plugins/beaver-builder-lite-version/classes/class-fl-builder-model.php:2972) in /home/username/public_html/wp-admin/post.php on line 197

I just wondered if you could shed any light. Would you say this is expected behaviour? I’d have hoped everything would have been carried across to the copy.

I also tried another plugin which clones pages – Duplicate Posts – but this had a similar problem too.

To be clear: I fully understand that Beaver Builder makes it easy to load pre-saved templates into new pages. But that’s not the same as cloning the entire page, along with all its other non-BB-related settings too. And Nested Pages provides other really useful functionality as well, but its ‘Clone Page’ button is pretty prominent and isn’t able to be turned off. This will confuse my clients, no doubt. ??

    Thanks for your help.

  • Hi,
I’m the developer of Duplicate Post, I received a notice since your post mentioned it.
I can tell you I’ve been studying the issue in the last few days, and (at least in my case) the problem lies in a poorly documented and counter-intuitive behaviour of some escaping functions from WordPress core. I’m currently testing a workaround and I hope I can add it in a new version of Duplicate Post very soon.

That’s good to know @lopo. I’m a big fan of your plugin. Thanks for commenting.

    Hey there,

Apologies for the delayed response. For some reason, I wasn’t notified via email on this post. ??

Our page builder has its own duplicate layout function under Tools > Duplicate Layout. This copies the entire page, including meta data from the backend(verified and working with Yoast SEO data). Can you give it a shot and see if it works for you?

Also, our page builder stores data in the postmeta table. You can check the KB article below for more info.

    Hope this helps!
