Forms display with temp URL, not our “real” site URL
-
Hello,
Excuse the pedestrian, non-techie way I’m going to explain my issue … I’m not technical and built this website just by feeling my way around in the dark and now find myself with a problem I have no idea how to solve.
I built the new website using a temporary URL from BlueHost. There are a handful of forms (fillable online) that I created using Visual Form Builder. When the site was ready, I redirected our “real” URL to the work that had been done (or maybe it’s vice versa…) and the site was available instantly for use by customers.
There is a new client intake form that a customer has raised issue with. Instead of it being secured/locked on our site, accessing it goes takes users back to the temp URL which is not secure. They’re refusing to use the form because it exposes personal data to open air where it can be misappropriated.
How do I specify the URL to force the forms to associate with our permanent, real URL instead of staying where they are now with the temporary one? I’m not sure if it’s a WordPress plug-in issue or a host issue or something else entirely so any help to understand will be useful to me.
Thanks in advance for any advice/counsel you can offer a newbie.
Jo-Lynn
