uBlock Origin blocking my booking plugin
-
Hello,
I’m using the online booking system Bookify to sell tickets on my company website, which is running WordPress hosted at WPEngine.com. The booking system provides a WP plugin called Bookify which renders a shortcode to load a booking module/calendar on the site in an iframe. You can see this in action at my website, https://www.locurio.com/book.It seems the ad blocker uBlock Origin is preventing the booking module/calendar from loading on the page. I’m not super familiar with the ad blocker, but looking through the logger it provides, it seems to only be blocking my Facebook pixel codes and Google Analytics scripts and nothing related to Bookify, so I’m not sure how it’s blocking the booking module or how to troubleshoot. It blocks on Chrome and Firefox (haven’t tried other browsers). I even found another website that uses the same booking system on WordPress and the blocker does not block the module for them: https://escapecode.tv/booking
I contacted Bookify’s support, but they said can’t recreate the issue and can’t help me, and that it seems to be an issue on my end. So far I’ve tried deactivating each of my other plugins one at a time (though not all at once), and deleting the Facebook pixel codes and Google Analytics and remarketing scripts (though I couldn’t find where the basic tracking code was located and couldn’t delete it.)
Any troubleshooting ideas or more familiarity with uBlock Origin would be very appreciated. We get a lot of messages from customers who can’t find our prices or how to book, and that’s the main revenue stream for my business so it’s important I find a way to get this fixed.
Thank You!
Natalie
