    Hello,

    Today I have upgraded the vega theme from 1.9.5 (I think) to 2.0, and unfortunately this broke my website.

    The website: https://passiefkozijn.upxsite.nl/

    The banner isn’t displaying the pictures properly anymore, and the footer has turned bright green. Does anyone know what’s going on and how to fix it? Is there a way to revert back to 1.9.5?

    Thanks

    steef076 – you almost gave me a hear attack! Broke is a harsh word! Haha but definitely, thanks for reaching out, I would be happy to help you with this.

    May I ask what is wrong with the banner? Looks good to me. Can you show me with a screenshot what is unexpected? We changed the way the parallax is being rendered, so if you can point it out, I can see what can be done.

    For the footer – is this site running a child theme? Because the last footer row (the green one) is not widget enabled in Vega. Apart from that, yes we did add some color to the last footer row (the copyright row) but you can use this custom CSS to show it the way it was:

    .footer {
        background-color: #ccc;
    }

    The main changes made in the theme last night were the way the parallax was being rendered, fixes in the way the home page was pulling content from the pages (important), and we also added a top navigation where you can add social media links and phone number/support information as well. See that in action here: https://demo.lyrathemes.com/vega

    Let me know about the banners and I’ll look into it.

    Hello!

    I upgraded to 2.0 as well, and my banner is no longer being displayed properly. It is just a small picture in the corner of the screen.

    How do I fix that?

    My website is: alyssaferg.com

    @alyssaferg: This is happening because your menu is too long. It is dropping down on top of the banner, disfiguring it. The logo text is also too long. You’ll need to reduce both (the logo text and the menu items) in order to make them fit into one line.

    Thanks for the reply. Some things, like the banner, seem te have fixed itself (or by the 2.0.1 update maybe). The footer however, I can’t seem to change it’s color. When I inspect it in Chrome, it shows me my child theme’s css gets overruled by the vega green.css color scheme. Also, I noticed all the fonts have changed. Is this a part of the update? (I’m suspecting this is also something with my site.)

    I think it’s best for me to rollback to 1.9.5, since appearently my customizations work best with this version. Would that be a good idea?

    Thanks!

    I managed to get back to 1.9.5 and this seems to have fixed everything.

    • If your colors are being overridden by green.css, something is not right. Please refer to this for a sample child theme functions.php file: https://gist.github.com/lyrathemes/c83a7b7a3a1f0563e095b456c00045a0
    • The 2.0.1 did indeed fix the banners. If there is anything else you see, please let us know.
    • For the fonts – no, nothing was changed as such rather we stopped using Raleway in some prominent places. The fonts being used are still the same. If you’d like to continue using Raleway (like in 1.9.5), you can overwrite some of the fonts in the child CSS file.

    There are some bug fixes in the latest version (like overlays for the CTA were not working on mobile phones, the date format was not working for blog posts) as well as some new features (such two new menus in the top bar, WooCommerce support). Font-awesome version was also updated to the latest version.

    For now, I’m think im going to stay with 1.9.5 just to be sure.

    Aside from that, I want to say thanks for the quick and helpful support.
    I wrote a short review to show my appreciation.

    I still can’t see it! Can you please clear your browser cache and try again? Try another browser too.

    For what it’s worth, I think the site looks great! There is a white bar at the top that contains the logo and the menu, but I believe that’s all part of the design and I think it looks really nice. I looked on two browsers (IE and Chrome) and it looks the same.

    @rathanacio – thanks for chiming in! ??

    I see the same – I see the top navbar which is white (with the logo and the main nav). But I think ofertasbebe can see another white area above the navbar – which I am unable to replicate.
