Update to 2.3.7 – White Screen on Customise Theme?

    Hello,

    I just updated the Kirki Toolkit Plugin on my STAGING site to version 2.3.7, prior to updating it on my live site.

    I have the HOLOMATIC theme 1.0.1 installed.

    When I attempt to select customise I see only a blank, white-screen?

    If I deactivate the plugin and select the customise button, I see the menu and am able to use the options?

    Is this a known problem or is it more likely related to my installation?

  • Hello there @cetacea,

    Can you please set WP_DEBUG to true in your wp-config.php file?
    This way instead of a whitescreen you’ll get an error message informing us what’s wrong so we may further debug this.
    Once you do that, please post the error messages you’re getting here.

    My provider runs PHP 5.3.9

    I see the following error when trying to ACTIVATE the plugin:

    Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 30720 bytes) in …/wp-admin/includes/template.php on line 701

    I’m afraid that HOLOMATIC is a premium theme I don’t have access to so I’m unable to debug this…
    Kirki seems to work fine with other themes, so I’m assuming that something goes on when combined with that theme.
    Have you tried contacting the theme author?
