restrict user from creating new page

  • Hello I posted a little while ago regarding one person editing a single page and accomplished that by making them an author and giving them capabilities of editing pages and editing published pages. Then making them the author of the page I want to give them permission to edit.It works perfect. The problem is I also do not want them to be able to create new pages. Is there a way to restrict them from creating new pages?

    Hi,

    1st variant: It’s possible to check URL for this user and if he tries to open post-new.php redirect him back to the WordPress admin dashboard.

    2nd variant: This feature was included into the Pro version. You will can use ‘create_pages’ capability when you activate this option:
    User Role Editor Pro - create post/page capability
