Regenerating stops working after a while

Great great plugin! Thanks for it, it’s amazing!

We have about 4000 images that it goes through to regenerate. I click on for instance the medium image size regenerate and it starts and then sometimes are 300 photos it just shows the circle turning but it doesn’t go on to the next image. It freezes there then I have to close it and click regenerate again and then it starts from scratch again and it normally then goes 300 more photos than where it froze before and then it freezes again and so on.

I’ve tried doing it through the WP CLI but I get errors which I logged an issue before. Is there another way to do it that perhaps uses less resources or is there something I might be doing wrong?

I’ve set the server php settings to 512mb and 60minutes max execution time and I’ve maxxed all the other php settings cause this website sits on a powerful server but still getting this issue.
