The TechLand theme includes an RSS image in the banner. However, clicking on it gives the following error message:

The document name you requested (/index.php) could not be found on this server. However, we found documents with names similar to the one you requested.

I am not savvy enough to know where and/or what to edit to fix this and I’d appreciate any help.

  • Actually, every link on that blog gives the same error.
Time to talk to your host about setting index.php as a valid index file. (you can quote this phrase)

Just out of couriosity: does it work with other themes?

Yipe! I had no idea things were that messed up.

The host changed some permissions when I was having trouble a couple days ago. I wonder if they changed too many?

I have not tried other themes–spent a lot of time customizing TechLand and didn’t want to have to start all over again.

Addendum… index.php is definitely present in the root WP directory and the permissions seem to be proper (644).

Actually, what I was saying re: index is quite different than being there and/or having proper chmod permissions.

Called host. They are going to run some diagnostics. I appreciate your help, obviously I’m clueless. ??
