  • Are you sure there is not another page or blog post with that URL?

I did make a post using https://www.everest1953.co.uk/1921-to-1953-updated but I deleted it.

    Can anyone help?

Sorry for the delay in my reply. I have been extremely busy the last couple days.

I would suggest making sure your trash is completely empty. There is probably a post with the url you are trying to use in your trash thus making it so that you can not use the same permalink on the new post.

    Hope this helps.

Hello, Thank you for your suggestion. I have emptied the trash bin but it has made no difference.

Is it possible to send you a private message with my login details so you could take a look for me?

No unfortunately we are not allowed to take passwords from you to look at the problem.

However, if you want someone who has a lot of experience to take a quick look and maybe try to fix it for you, you can post over at WordPress Jobs. There are many experience WordPress developers over there and some mightbe willing to take a look at the problem for free, this seems like it should be an easy one to fix. Easy meaning a few minutes at most. When posting over there be sure you enter your correct email address so they can get in touch with you.

    Thank you for your reply.

I have just tried the site you suggested but the page says:

“If you are the owner of this website, please contact your hosting provider”
