Quick help for site under attacj

  • Hi All,

    I have a website with Sahifa theme… it was all working fine but suddenly when i try to connect back-end 99% time I am getting “Error establishing a database connection”. I contacted hosting provider and they told is resource utilization is high due to bots.

    I stopped all bots with following codes but problem is still same

    User-agent: *
    Disallow: /

    What i have noticed that if i change the theme to any other wordpress them my site works well (this may be wrong assumption also). What can i do to completly stop bad bots and hackers.

    We have the plugins:

    a) stop bad bots
    and
    b) report attacks.

    You can use them for free and download at wordpress repository.

    What are the bad bots doing – DDOS, or brute force login attempts, something else? Unfortunately no way to completely stop bad bots and hackers, but you don’t have to be defenseless either. As sminozzi points out, there are a number of plugins you could try, including some widely trusted. Cloudflare is an option for a another defensive layer.
