• I keep getting the “yellow box” error, “Validation errors occurred. Please confirm the fields and submit it again.”

All required fields have been answered, so I don’t know what the problem is. I have never gotten any errors or had any problems with Contact Form 7 before now – after updating. Please help.

    Thanks

The form does not submit just gives the error. I have no ideal how to confirm fields.

I checked the site. You have set almost all fields in the form required.

How do I fix the problem? Should I not set fields to required? Like I said, the form has been working perfectly for years and now all of a sudden it stopped working.

Tell us what your problem is. The form is working perfectly as you have set up.

The form does not work! As stated before there is a error message when submit is clicked and no email is sent to me.

    Error Message:
“Validation errors occurred. Please confirm the fields and submit it again.”

You have made almost all fields required, and you see “Validation errors occurred.” message because there are validation errors (some required fields aren’t filled). It seems to be working, no?

ALL fields are filled when testing out the form, that’s why I do not know why the error message keeps displaying. Try the form out for yourself to duplicate the error.

    Me too!
“Validation errors occurred. Please confirm the fields and submit it again.”
I see the issue, with my page, the error message was very small, very hard to see.

So you corrected your issue and got it working again?

I had this problem this morning. The tech support for our host didn’t have any knowledge of how to fix it but mentioned the when I submitted the form it was generating a fatal PHP error. That gave me the idea that it could be a database error caused by trying to modify the existing form. What also led me to believe this might be the case is when I tried to use a word based quiz instead of the existing number based quiz and was getting the same validation error.

Suspecting it being a database issue trying to modify an existing record I duplicated the form and replaced the quiz shortcode with the recaptcha shortcode and it worked on the first try.

So if you’re trying to enable recaptcha on an existing form and are getting validation errors, try duplicating or recreating the form adding recaptcha.

Respond with your results, I’d like to know if this worked for you.

I had the same problem — I was getting generic validation message.

VALIDATION ERRORS OCCURRED. PLEASE CONFIRM THE FIELDS AND SUBMIT IT AGAIN.

Reviewing the form code, I saw that I commented out some fields.

    <!– [text myfield… –>

After removing the commented fields, the validation messages went away.
