Remove “Posts” page title but keep titles of pages?

    By default, when you click on a single article, the word “Posts” appears below the header.
    On a page, this contains the page title.
    I have hidden the “Posts” container using custom CSS. However, my fix: 

    .page-title-container {
display: none;
}

    Also hides the title of pages.
    Is there any way to hide only on single posts but keep it on pages?
    Or, if its easier, place a post title in that container?

    Thanks! That should have been obvious. It works. However, because I have made several other changes, such as moving the navigation menu above the header, it causes the post title to display between menu and header. I’d just prefer to add the title to the body of the page, just like a single post. Searching through the various loop and inc files, I couldn’t actually find where to put the php for the title. Any idea about that?

    And if I want to remove the “Category” or “Tag” text that appears in those containers?

    To hide entirely:

    .archive .page-title-container {
    display: none;
}

    The “Category: %s” and “Tag: %s” archive prefix is actually done by a core function, to change that you will need to add a filter for get_the_archive_title.
