  • A users has reported a similar issue when using Polylang Pro. Hyyan plugin was not checking Polylang Pro version correctly.

    Are you using Polylang Pro?

No i use the free version of Polylang.

And both WooCommerce and Polylang are installed and activated?

That message only shows if one or both plugins are not activated.

    They are both activated.
I use both, Woocommerce and Polylang, for almost a year.

I just notice that I have not yet tested the plugin with polylang version 2.0.6. Should have paid more attention to your first comment ??

I will upgrade my staging environment tonigh to Polylang version 2.0.6 and check whether I get the same issue and hopefully fix it. I guess that Polylang may have changed something with regards to how this Plugin detects if it is activated. Hoping for something simple and obvious. Fingers crossed ??

    Ok let me know.

The web-shop is in Dutch now but i also get costumers who only can read English and that’s why I want to make the web-shop multilingual. So i hope that it is something simple.

    Hi,
i upgraded Polylang to version 2.0.7 and can’t reproduce the problem.

This is likelly caused by some other plugin or your theme. I can only suggest you to disable all plugins except WooCommmerce and Polylang, and then activate Hyyan’s plugin. Try also temporarily with the Woothemes’ Storefront free theme to see if the problem is fixed.

    Ok, I will try.

I already tried it out with storefront but not with disabling the other plugins.

I don’t know of this can be an issue, I run the site on a multisite but it didn’t do what i expected.
So I want to bring it back to a single site.

    Thanks for so far.

I tried it out with Storefront and disable all plugins except WooCommmerce and Polylang. I activate Hyyan’s plugin but it didn’t see WooCommerce and/or Polylang.

You haven’t said you had a multisite installation. Please unsure both WooCommerce and Polylang are network activated (this will make both plugins run for all your sites), or ensure that both plugin are activated for the site where you want to activate Hyyan plugin.

You mentioned previously that you have been running WooCommerce and Polylang for near 1 year. So I assume you have activate Multisite on a existing WordPress installation. There are a few steps to follow. If you are new to Multsite, I suggest you read a bit about it if you haven’t done yet so. I found this article useful https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/ultimate-guide-multisite/.

It was not my intention to have a multisite but when I was searching for a multilingual site I found this plugin Multisite Language Switcher and after I installed it my single site was changed to a multisite. And still it didn’t do what i expected.
Later I found your plugin and your plugin did what I wanted.

But it seems that to have a Multisite give a problems so I want to bring it back to a single site. I already clone my site to try out how to do it because by what i read it is not so simple.

Thanks for the link I will check that too.

I succeed to bring back the installation from multisite to single site and after that the plugin works.

I’m sorry that i bother you when it was my mistake, but anyway thanks for your help.

    Regards,
    Curry
