Customer access

I have customers that each have different models of a product I’ve sold them. The customers often don’t know which model they are using. For them to get the correct support, I would like them to be able to enter an account code, or some sort of password, in order to have their model number presented to them. This info would come from a chart or database of account code matched to the model number. Then the customer can go to the proper link for the proper support and instructions.

I’m looking at the WP Customer Area plugin, but not sure if this is what I need or not, yet. Any thoughts on how to accomplish this? Thanks.
