Removing Blog Subtitles and Footer (tags)

I’m new to customizing WP themes and could use some help. Underneath my blog post titles, the date and categories are displayed. I would like to know how to remove them.

In addition, in the footer of each blog post, the tags for the blog are displayed. I would like to know how to remove those as well.
