• HI,

I have a very frustrating and strange occurrence.

I have wordpress running in multi site, Kleo theme, buddypress, social articles, etc. everything is up to date.

In my main site when user create an article their Published, Under Review and Drafts total all stay at zero.

However in sub sites user add articles just fine and everything works.

I have tried deactivating social articles and deleting it and reinstalling i don’t get any errors in the logs (im running in debug mode). The site is in production so i’m limited in what i can disable or deactivate and everything else is working ??

The other thing is im sure this was working at some point as users would have freaked out (so i have been looking for whats changed) and the only significant thing is we have added ithemes security for all sites but as mentioned the only site that this is not working is the main site.

Any help would be deeply appreciated.

    Hi, Thanks for the reply.

I’m going to post more once i have the details but this is for any other members that may encounter this issue.

The issue actually seems to be with membership pro although I have not got to the bottom yet.

The theme I’m using is Kleo which comes bundled with both social articles and membership pro.

If a user on any site has a membership in membership pro of anything other than free (or none) for some reason the only thing that does not work for that user is the totals for published and draft articles. They can still create articles and all other functions in kleo, buddy press etc seem to work.

As we have had more and more users become paid members this has slowly become a big problem over time (a lot of our users don’t publish articles) which is why it appeared to be to occur all of a sudden but in fact crept up on us and then hit users that were more vocal and use the social articles a lot.

All this to say the fix so far as of last night was simply to put them back to free membership until I find the proper configuration in membership pro.

Luckily the back lash has not been very bad as of this writing and I am working on our dev site to find the correct configuration for our memberships and QA has now been updated with the test case (not sure how this was missed).

I will post the final solution once achieved.

Again though, thanks for the response and a great plugin.

Hi! We update those counters with ajax. So, maybe the other plugin have some javascript error and Social Articles can’t calculate the counters. I’d like to see the website to understand better the reason of the problem. Could you show me a user profile with this error?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

    No Problem.

Do you have an email I can send you user info so you can log on and do what ever tests might help.

On Monday we found another issues as well, in fact if a user clicks on My Articles > Drafts > on the name of the article (not the edit button (that works)) > then once the draft article loads > click on Edit, the site navigates back to the home page: not the article edit page ?

    Thanks for the help
