    Hi Guys,

I am running wordpress 4.6.1 + Eleganttheme Divi and so far all is working fine only if I try to open my site in FireFox I get a pop-up saying that the js/jquery/jquery.js took too long for loading. In all other browsers like Chrome, IE, Safari or mobile devices it is working fine.

    Current Autoptimize settings:

    -move JS to <head> disabled
    -activated inline JS enabled

I tried to enabled move JS to head but then several things are not working anymore on my website but the general FireFox issue is gone. However this is not a solution as non of the important website functionalities is working anymore.

Do you have any ides how to get it working, so no FireFox Jquery loading issue is shown anymore?

    Here my website: https://www.ausbildung-fitnesstrainer.info/

    Cheers
    Ben

well, js/jquery/jquery.js is excluded from JS optimization, so it’s very weird you get such a warning. i tried in firefox, and I don’t get that, so could be related to you being logged in. maybe try in an private browser window? and could you upload a screenshot of this happening somewhere, maybe this will ring a bell when I see it?

I tried it with several PCs and almost all get the jquery issue pop-up with FireFox. I tried with firefox 48 & 49 versions.

Weird; I’m on FF49.0.1 and don’t get the popup. I do see, however, that the browser stalls for a couple of seconds (becomes unresponsive), which is probably the same problem but (and here comes the kicker) I also see this happening when AO is disabled (which you can do by simply adding ?ao_noptimize=1 to the URL).

I think there is (javascript from) a plugin that is eating resources, easiest way forward might be selectively disabling/ re-enabling plugins to identify the culprit?

Very weird! I disabled all plugins and now at least the pop-up disappears here but the website is still unresponsive for some time until it finished loading. For all other browser it is working without any unresponsive.

might be (the slider?) in the theme as well. given the problem also exists without AO, I’m afraid you’ll have to debug with the Divi (and/ or plugin) developers?
