    Hello.

The skin does not appear as what it will be when it’s installed.

    I don’t get the background…

    Please advise. Thank you.

You should try troubleshooting on your own:

Seems to be a permissions issue.

your permissions are set wrong on those images.

    click on any of them.

    chmod them to 644

    Hello
I’ve no idea how to get it working.
Trying on another skin, but it still won’t work..

I reinstalled the whole WP 2.6 already.

I’ve no idea how to get it working.

Maybe reading carefully the advice that has been offered above?
Reinstalling never solves anything… it’s a newbie obsession, as if it would be a “magic” solution. It isn’t.

Now, back to the real solution.
    I wrote: “permission issue”.

In the 21 hours since our posts, you could have done this: go to the online manual, also known as the Codex and available from the top manu bar “DOCS” – and do a search for “chmod 644” or “permissions”.
In both cases the first hit that comes up is the article titled Changing_File_Permissions.

    Hello.

I seek your understanding that I DID TRIED all the above suggestions given.

Newbie obsession. How was that so.

Reinstalling do solve certain errors. It overwrites any wrong changes back to default, when the owner does not know what was edited wrongly, or, had deleted a wrong file, etc.

In the last 24 hours, I’ve been meddling with my FTP client, changing the file permissions, reinstalling, and googling for solutions, hoping to solve this error. However I could not rectify the cause of this problem, hence I am here, seeking for professional assistance, from someone who works for www.remarpro.com; someone who knows how to help me.

In the last 24 hours, I’ve also read the article titled “Changing_File_Permissions”. And I followed exactly. Yet, the error persisted.

    Thank You.

    no-one here works for www.remarpro.com

If you contact me OFF the forum, via the contact form on MY site AND you provide your ftp info, I will fix your problem.

Hi, I’ve contacted you. But there’s no reply.

you contacted me and asked to talk on aim or something. I dont want to talk on an IM client. Im here. You either send me the FTP info an email, and let me fix it without going through a bunch of hoops, or not. It doesnt matter to me.

Im sorry, Im not going to “walk you through things” on an IM client though. A quick fix for free is one thing – landing on aim or yahoo chat with your for an hour, is another thing.

    Hi,

I’ve provided you with the informations already (:

    Thanks.

fixed .. you had hotlinking rules in your public_html/.htaccess that was affecting your images being displayed.

Ive commented out those lines — you can put them back but you need to add exceptions for your own sites.

I’m just reading through some posts to see if I can help in my limited capacity. I’m not a super-experienced WP user, but I do know more than the newbie (enough to be dangerous, I suppose). ??

I attempt to do a lot of my own troubleshooting before posting a problem that stumps me, as I know it can be frustrating to help someone who isn’t willing to help themselves.

That being said, whooam! I just wanted to tell you that it’s nice to see someone willing to go the extra mile and help out someone who clearly needs it. From Auph-x’s posts, it seems that maybe English is not their first language, so they weren’t able to completely get across all of the information.

I’ve read several posts in the last few days (including this one) where moshu has been rude and belittling. If you don’t want to be helpful, you certainly shouldn’t be a moderator. Sure it can be annoying to answer the same questions repeatedly, but that’s what happens on forums like these. If you don’t want to help people by using the obviously extensive knowledge you have with WP, you shouldn’t post. Of course, now heaven help me on my next post when I need assistance–I’m sure moshu will have very nice things to say to me. ??
