Lots of errors in search console

Hi,

I’m having the same problem, a lot of pages have been tracked for Google as AMP pages but they’re not AMP pages, so when Google robot look at the /amp version, it is redirected to normal page so Google robot take the normal page as an AMP page and show a lot of errors.

I think in my case is beacsue I am using Next Gen Gallery. I found this in another topic “hen I look at the source code for our /amp/ pages after installing the wordpress AMP plugin, there are some left-over bits of nextgen gallery which end up in the footer. These look like they are added OUTSIDE the proper hooks/actions of wordpress which is probably why they end up in the code when they shouldn’t…

The offending items include:
<!– ngg_resource_manager_marker –><!– ngg_resource_manager_marker –>
and
jquery-migrate.min.js (which creates a dependency for jquery too)

These break the google AMP page validation, and therefore potentially stop AMP pages being indexed.”

In my case when I access an AMP version of a custom post type it redirects to normal version so Google Bot is thinking the normal version is the AMP version. ??

After reading your question and webmaster tools log. I think there is some conflict with the plugins you are using as it adding some extra CSS and JavaScript in the amp page.

Can you please post your website url so I can check.

Can you please update your permalink settings and check if it still redirects.

Also, have you added some custom post type as well?

Hi,

I tried updating the permalink settings but the /amp still redirects to normal page.

Charitable plugin uses “campaign” custom post types for its posts, so yeah, maybe a bad practice in that plugin?

It seems to me like either theme or plugin seems to be calling javascript the wrong way. Is it possible to test?

The amppage reference problem in header is solved with the last update and one change I made in the code to hide all post types (showing the ON/OFF box in all post types) but the /amp version still exists for all pages (hidden or not hidden) is this a desirable behavior?

I have just checked the Honey bees conservation url and the /amp version doesn’t exist for that page. Am I looking in the right direction?

The browser redirects to the normal version:

https://www.planetconservation.org/campaigns/honey-bees-conservation/

Is that a normal behavior? Google Webmaster Console is tracking the AMP version for all campaign pages as AMP versions but it really gets the normal version with the /amp URL. It seems that they already know the /amp versions so i think i messed up hehe.
