Removing the Whitespace between Blog Title and Con

Hmm… it’s going to be tricky because you are using tables and the css tagging is not as complete as it could be.
Adding this:
margin: 0;
to your h2 in the CSS reduces it some.

it removes the space between the date and the blog title, but not between the blog title and the content. :S
it is tricky. :/

.storycontent {margin-top: 0; } might do it.

To h2:
margin-bottom: 0;
To .storytitle:
margin-top: 0px;
That works in Firefox.

Everybody has given this their best shot. It is very difficult to style in the CSS when the tags are nested in tables. None of our knowledge about selectors is any use. If you had stuck to web standards design this would have been fixed long ago.
