Post excerpt edit now won’t allow me to read full content.

Hi! My website is https://www.awanderfulllife.com. I recently changed my posts page to show excerpts of each post rather than the whole content using the editor changing the_content to the_excerpt. However, now all links to the posts just take readers to the excerpt rather than the post content. Also, the read more buttons at the bottom of the excerpts just loop back, and don’t open the full content. How can I change this while still being able to show excerpts on the posts page?
