  • Hi,

To convert your images to webp format you’ll need to install the Optimus plugin and purchase the HQ plan https://optimus.io/en/. This will allow you to convert all of your images to webp which you can do from your WordPress dashboard or upon new image upload.

Then, once your images are converted, you can use the Cache Enabler plugin to deliver those .webp images in place of your JPGs or PNGs. Just ensure that the webp option in Cache Enabler is checked.

    Hi, thanks

Then I not can upload the webP images converted manually by ftp?

    Thanks

Yes this should work as well if you convert them using another method. Just ensure that the files are named the same as your JPG or PNGs, however using the .webp extension instead.

    Hi I am testing with
    EWWW Image Optimizer
and rename the webP file (because EWW Image Opt. generate a filename in this format filename.oldextension.webp) with filename.webp but NOT render the webP in the browser…

I am testing with Opera and Yandex browser.

    Thanks for support

Have your checked your images extensions when logged out of your WordPress site? The Cache Enabler only works for logged out users.
