Express Checkout Conflict with wp 4.6.1

    I upgraded to wordpress v 4.6.1 using EightStore Lite theme and with WooCommerce & PayPal Express. As soon as I upgraded WP, the site ground virtually to a halt. I tried various things and deactivated my plugins one at a time and it eventually pointed to some sort of conflict between WP 4.6.1 and WooCommerce Gateway PayPal Express Checkout. As soon as I deactivated the plugin, the site returned to normal. I believe that the plugin has not been tested with v 4.6.1.
    Can anyone advise me with this issue as I use PayPal Express on another website and I would like to use it on this new website. Is there anything I can do or do I have to wait for PP Express to be updated to work with WP 4.6.1?

  • My site was slow when I first installed this plugin without setting it up, but when I had the PayPal API setup properly then the site went back to normal speed. Try going through the full setup and see if that makes a difference.

    Thank you for the suggestion. However, I have now replaced this plugin with a different one which, so far, has had no bad affect on my website. The payment processing is not live yet, though.

    @i4detail_eu which plugin did you replace it with. I’m facing a problem with the woo commerce express checkout. When its enabled the product categories won’t work
